CYBERSKULL II; THE NEXT LEVEL
This is one of the few sequel episodes that featured in the Mighty Max series. Cyberskull II picks up shortly after where the first Cyberskull episode left off. It is episode 28 (15th episode of the 2nd series.) Cyberskull has found a way of breaking free from his cyber prison. Episode Captures (Click to enlarge) Max is in a science class at school and is attempting to create a super fast racing car by sabotaging the classroom's computer, much to the dismay of his science teacher. When Max comes to demonstrate his great invention to the teacher and the class, mayhem ensures in which, among other things, a window is broken. As a result Max is awarded a detention. In his detention Max is told to clean the board and makes a half-hearted attempt in doing so, not even looking at what he is doing. The teacher walks in and tells him off for not cleaning the board as she told him to, but writing on it. Puzzled Max looks up and sees a message from Virgil written in chalk. He drops his cloth and rushes out of the classroom. Max meets up with Norman and Virgil outside of the TerraCorp headquarters building where they investigate the loss of all the electrical power in the whole city, except for the TerraCorp building which is lit up as if nothing was wrong. They quietly enter the building (Norman rips the door of its hinges rather than simply opening it.) They approach a locked door which has a complex lock on it. Norman offers to open it in his own special way - with his sword. He takes a run up at it, hits it, and is thrown backward by an invisible force field. Max says, "Perhaps we should just say 'knock knock'!" and is surprised to find out that he has just said the password, causing the door to open. They wander inside and see Cyberskull standing there! But it's ok, it's only a 12 inch high model of him which Max runs up to in order to take a closer look. On the other side of the room they see "J.C" who max remembers from his last visit here. But something is different about JC; he is wearing what looks like a monk's robe, and he is acting very strange. Max notices what looks like a glowing badge on JC's robe. He reaches forward to take it off but as soon as he touches it there is a huge red flash which burns Max's hand. Then something strange happens; JC acts as if he has awoken from a dream and looks very puzzled as to why he is there wearing strange clothes. They realise that JC had been hypnotised by Cyberskull and so Norman attempts to smash up the main computer housed in that room. As he does this the small model of Cyberskull comes to life and with a tiny laser gun, that packs a lot of power, he starts attacking Norman. As the tiny figure runs past Max tries to grab it, but only succeeds in ripping the tiny gun from its shoulder. Max tries to use it to hit back at the tiny Cyberskull, and is delighted when he thinks he has destroyed it, but to his dismay he looks at up a giant computer screen to see the real Cyberskull laughing and mocking him before disappearing. By accessing the computers databanks Max, Virgil and Norman manage to discover Cyberskull's plan to control all the electricity in the world by channeling to his hideaway in South America. Next stop Guatemala. In Guatemala Max and team find a group of people acting as if hypnotised, all wearing robes similar to JC, who is also there acting as gatherer of the people. Behind them stands a huge Mayan pyramid on top of which a huge satellite is situated. Seeing the three "unprogrammed" JC orders the group to attack, and Norman draws his sword. Virgil tells Norman to put his sword away, pointing out that they are innocent people under the control of Cyberskull, assuring him, and Max, that they will not harm the three of them. Next we see that they have been captured and tied up in preparation for a sacrifice. "Oh, don't worry, they won't hurt us!" says Max in a mocking tone to Virgil. Norman manages to break himself free, freeing Max and Virgil in the process. Max sees Cyberskull approaching, but not the tiny model this time, but a huge monstrous version of him, the real Cyberskull. Cyberskull attacks in a bid to get rid of the Mighty One once and for all, but Virgil puts his own plan into action. He sees a lever and points it out to Max. A little argument breaks out between the two of them over the correct saying of lever before Max rushes over and pulls it with all his might. They see the huge satellite on top of the Mayan pyramid start to move and it looks as if it is going to topple over, but it starts to divert huge amounts of raw electrical power everywhere, including at Cyberskull. Cyberskull tries to escape, but he is caught, and destroyed. This in turns releases JC and the innocent locals from their hypnotic trances. JC then uses his hand held pc to return the world's electricity. The end? Back in the TerraCorp building a workman is clearing up when finds the small Cyberskull figure. He looks at in and throws it into bin. The figure stirs!
